International Economic Engagement

Daniel S. Sullivan, Assistant Secretary of State, will be giving a talk entitled U.S. International Economic Engagement on Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. in RH 303. Sullivan serves as the Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs.

The bureau he leads is responsible for overseeing work on international trade and investment policy, international finance, development and debt policy, economic sanctions and combating terrorist financing, international energy security policy, international telecommunications and transportation policies and support for U.S. businesses and the private sector overseas. Sullivan is an Alaskan resident and will be in Anchorage for the Arctic Energy Summit. This event is sponsored by the University Honors College, International Studies and the UAA Economics Club.
