Justice Center and Anchorage School District Strategic Planning Session

The Justice Center and the Anchorage School District (ASD) hosted a strategic planning session for the Anchorage DMC Initiative at the ASD administrative offices on October 9. The Anchorage DMC Initiative policy group is focusing on the problem of disproportionate minority contact with the juvenile justice system - the fact that minority juveniles become involved with the formal justice system at much higher rates than white youths. The Justice Center, under a grant from the National Institute of Justice, is directing the research work of the policy group. Andre Rosay and Ron Everett are representing the Justice Center.
