Mail server malfunction leads to duplicate messages

It appears that Thursday's edition of Green and Gold created a message loop between UAA's mail server and another mail server, and the newsletter re-sent itself multiple times. UAA's IT Call Center received reports on Friday that some students were receiving a copy of the October 25 Green and Gold about every 20 minutes. IT worked to isolate the problem and was able to break the loop Saturday night.  At this point we are not sure exactly what created the loop and will continue to investigate./Office of University Advancement
