Strategic planning

The Justice Center and the Anchorage School District hosted a strategic planning session for the Anchorage DMC Initiative at the school district administrative offices on Oct. 9. The Anchorage DMC Initiative policy group is focusing on the problem of disproportionate minority contact with the juvenile justice system, the fact that minority juveniles become involved with the formal justice system at a much higher rate then white youths. The Justice Center, under a grant from the National Institute of Justice, is directing the research work of the policy group.
