Kim Peterson, co-founder of the UAA Complex Systems Group presents UAA as a Complex System on Oct. 19 at Noon in LIBRARY 307. Everyone is welcome to attend this lecture (free parking). Complex systems informs an appreciation for the nature of institutions. UAA is an evolving system that illustrates the general principles of self organization, order at the edge of chaos, critical values of stability, and scale-free structures. This lecture is an abstract voyage into the inner workings of UAA, interpreted against a background of complex systems theory. Ideas for best institutional practices will be discussed.
