Native Heritage celebration this evening

 "An Evening of Celebration" in honor of Native Heritage Month starts at 6 p.m. this evening, Nov. 13, in Fine Arts 150, with reception snacks and welcome dances by the Suqpiaq Native Heritage Dancers. That will be followed by a Native Dress Review featuring models wearing traditional and contemporary Native attire. Special guest speaker Earl "Keggeluk" Polk will conclude the evening's event with an entertaining and insightful message on Strengthening the Spirit. The celebration will end at 9:30 p.m. This event is free and open to everyone. It's sponsored by Academic & Multicultural Student Services, Alaska Native Studies, the Cama-i Room, Campus Diversity & Compliance, Native Student Council, Native Student Services, Recruitment & Retention of Alaska Natives into Nursing, and Residence Life.
