Senior Guitar Recital this Friday

The Department of Music hosts a Senior Guitar Recital by Nevada Start, candidate for
the Bachelor of Music, Emphasis Music Education degree, this Friday, November 30 at
8:00 p.m. in the UAA Fine Arts Building Recital Hall. The program contains a sample
of works through the centuries for solo guitar, including adaptations of Renaissance
and Baroque music by Johnson and Bach, and major guitar works by Molino, Villa-Lobos,
Granados and Barrios. Special guest and UAA graduate Cecelia Frey will join Nevada
for a performance of selections from Piazzolla's "Histoire du Tango" for guitar and
flute.
This recital is free and open to the public, and guests are invited to attend a reception
for the performer immediately following the concert. For more information please contact
