UAA Theatre For Young People Present Kipling's, "The Elephant's Child"

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Back by popular demand--Margret Hugi Lewis's beautiful set creates the backdrop for James Ware's charming adaptation of Kipling's children's classic. The Elephant's Child is a musical romp with an African beat about how the elephant got its trunk.

13-year-old Leah Mattfield, who is supported by a "rock" solid cast of UAA Theatre students and professional Anchorage theatre talent, plays the title role. EnviroBEAT will perform Tim Tucker's original music on original instruments. If you miss Maggie, you will love The Elephant's Child!

All performances at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium December 7 through 16. Tickets are $10. This show is suitable for all ages. Call 786-6883 or email tfyp@uaa.alaska.edu for additional information.
