Responsible Conduct of Research Training

The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Course in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR), which provides a comprehensive basic course in RCR, is now available online through the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. The course can be used by instructors of research courses and is a valuable resource to all involved in research.

The basic course includes an introduction to the subject of RCR and topics including research misconduct, data acquisition/management, responsible authorship, peer review, mentoring, conflicts of interest and collaborative research. Other specific topics include RCR in biomedical sciences, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences/engineering and humanities. A certificate of completion is offered at the end of each course.
