The Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program is a highly specialized form of funding to perform Research and Development (R&D) that addresses the nation's scientific and engineering needs. These needs span the technology spectrum from aviation and agriculture to medicine and manufacturing. Learn about how:

  1. Solicitations are released periodically from each of the agencies,
  2. A company can compete for funding by submitting proposals,
  3. The technology meets the needs of the agency's solicitation, and
  4. What resources are available for assistance with the SBIR program.

Any small business, institution or individual looking for growth opportunities through technology-based R&D should attend. Call 274-7232 to pre-register or e-mail to ancap1@uaa.alaska.edu. No Fee.
