The UAA Alaska Native Oratory Society Regional Competition will be held on Saturday, March 1 in the Social Sciences Building on the UAA campus at 9 a.m. The AkNOS Southcentral Regional Competition is open to all high school and university students in the Southcentral region. Students can compete in one of four speech categories: Oratory, Declamation, Storytelling and Native Languages. A special category, Peoples' Choice Award, in Traditional Introductions will be offered if at least four students register for that event.
