March 2008: Deadline to submit undergraduate research abstracts

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Friday, March 28, is the deadline for abstracts to be submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Research & Scholarship. Undergraduates who have conducted or are conducting original research or creative projects are encouraged to compete for inclusion in next month's Undergraduate Research Symposium, where they will present their work as poster presentations in a celebration and recognition of undergraduate research at UAA. In addition, presenters will have their abstracts published in the Annual Proceedings of the 2008 Undergraduate Research and Discovery Symposium at UAA.

Students whose abstracts are accepted must be present on Friday, April 11, 3-5 p.m., in Rasmuson Hall to discuss their research or creative project with other Symposium participants and attendees. In addition, students will have the option of having their posters displayed on April 10, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the lobby of Rasmuson Hall as part of the Undergraduate Research Fair hosted by the University Honors Student Advisory Board. Students need not be present for this event.

Abstract Guidelines:

Abstracts should follow formats consistent with the published literature in the applicant's field of study and should not exceed 250 words. Please consult with your faculty mentor or advisor.
