From the Bush to the City

Residence Life and the Alaska Native and Rural Outreach Program present Mike O'Neill on Monday, March 24 from 6-7 p.m. in the Cama-i Room.

Mike is Yupik from Levelock and Bristol Bay. Hear how he balanced raising a family, graduating from college and coping with a physical disability. Mike will also share his opinions of the rural to urban migration, the lack of economics in rural areas and the terms that are used to identify the indigenous people of Alaska.
