2008 Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference

The Kachemak Bay Campus of Kenai Peninsula College-University of Alaska Anchorage is pleased to announce that registration has begun for the upcoming 2008 Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference to be held June 6-10 at Lands End Resort in Homer, Alaska. This year's keynote presenter will be the internationally-acclaimed author Anne Lamott.
The conference will feature 20 award-winning, nationally-recognized authors, editors and agents who will conduct creative writing workshops, readings, craft talks and panel presentations in fiction, nonfiction, children's writing, nature writing, poetry and the business of writing. Optional activities include manuscript reviews, editor-agent consultations, receptions, a boat cruise and open "mic". The evening readings June 7-9 by visiting writers and conference registrants including Anne Lamott will be open to the general public at no charge.
