Milken Educator Award winner to speak at ClubEd Event

ClubEd is pleased to present guest speaker Mike Sterling, the 2006 winner of the Milken Educator Award, on March 21 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in PSB 166.
Currently retired, Sterling started his own company, Relevant Curriculum, which provides learning opportunities that demonstrate how standards can be integrated into the curriculum without teaching to the test. He used the power of technology to help his sixth graders at Sand Lake Elementary School learn about current, real-world issues, and encouraged them to publish opinion pieces in the Anchorage Daily News.
