Fran Ulmer named UAA's permanent Chancellor

President Hamilton announced his appointment of Fran Ulmer as UAA's permanent Chancellor during the Board of Regents meeting held in Ketchikan last week.
This action follows a series of motions passed by UAA governance groups in recent weeks in support of Ulmer as permanent Chancellor. The UAA Faculty Senate, University Assembly, APT and Classified Councils, and the Union of Students all formally expressed enthusiastic support for Ulmer and urged President Hamilton to make this direct appointment.
