April 4, 2008: KRUA's From the North hosts Julius Strauss

This week on KRUA's "From the North," host Woodruff Laputka will be speaking with journalist Julius Strauss. Strauss spent several years covering some of the largest and most historic conflicts of our era, from the Bosnian War to Sierra Leon and Chechnya, to Afghanistan and Iraq. He also spent time as the Russian Correspondent for the acclaimed British paper, the Weekly Telegraph, and covered the tragedy in Beslan that claimed several hundred lives of civilians and terrorists. Strauss currently sits as the Journalism and Public Communications Dept. Atwood Chair.

"From the North" airs Friday from 9-10 a.m., on KRUA 88.1 FM Anchorage.
