Please join UAA students, staff, faculty and Anchorage community members from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, April 14 in the Student Union Den to honor Mary Anne Wilson's significant service to our community.

Mary Anne brought 22 years of nursing experience with her when she joined the Student Health Center in 1996 as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. She became the Student Health and Counseling Center Director in 2003 and together with the Center's staff, has transformed the delivery of health care and wellness education for our community.

Under Mary Anne's leadership, the Center has provided more than 45,000 patient visits serving a comprehensive variety of health service needs. One of Mary Anne's passions is to keep abreast of cutting edge health care technology and finding creative ways to keep the cost of on campus health care services for students at a minimum while not compromising quality of care or service. Her most recent innovation is the implementation of electronic medical records. "We are a cutting edge college facility," said Mary Anne.

With certainty, the UAA community is a healthier place to learn, work and live because of Mary Anne's significant contributions as our Student Health and Counseling Center Director.
