May 9, 2008: Mat-Su College holds 50th anniversary Commencement Ceremony

Mat-Su College (MSC) will celebrate the accomplishments of 109 grads at its 50th anniversary Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Colony Middle School gymnasium. In addition to the 83 certificates and associate's degrees presented by Mat-Su College, graduates from the University of Alaska campuses in Fairbanks, Anchorage and Southeast will also walk with the graduates. MSC will also present a Doctorate of Philosophy from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a master's degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage. William Tull, former director of Mat-Su College from 1958 to 1959, will present the Commencement address. The student speaker is Sheila Hansen-Guess. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend to celebrate the graduates' accomplishments.
