2008 U-Med Fest Health Fair takes place this weekend

Food Fest: 11 a.m.-Noon
Activity Festival: 12-4 p.m.

The 3rd Annual U-Med Fest Health Fair will take place tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 13 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Goose Lake Park.
The U-Med Fest promotes healthy lifestyles among Anchorage community members and the idea of the "U-Med District" -- Anchorage's health and education center. The park will be divided into different sections based on various parts of the human body and mind.
Some of UAA's exceptional programs will participate including Allied Health Sciences, Enrollment Services, Master of Public Health, School of Nursing, Student Affairs, Student Health & Counseling Center and the WWAMI Biomedical program. They will be in attendance promoting healthy living by fun activities to help the well-being of the body and mind.
The U-Med Fest begins with the Health Fair from 8-11 a.m., the Food Fest from 11 a.m.-Noon and the Activity Festival from 12-4 p.m.
