Student success: Academic Advising Series for Faculty

All UAA faculty are invited to participate in a series of seminars designed to help faculty develop expertise in the role of academic advisor.

Co-sponsored by the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) and the Advising and Testing Center, the series will address current institutional policies, rules and regulations online resources for academic information about students, the link between advising and student development, how improvements in the delivery of academic advising directly impact student success, handling disruptive student behavior, identifying the needs of a broadly diverse student population and where to refer students who need additional assistance.

Faculty who complete all four modules receive an Advanced Advising Certificate.
