2008 National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week

This year's National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week is coordinated by the UAA Dean of Students Office and will take place Oct. 20-24. Events will be taking place around campus which students are encouraged to participate. Join fellow students at these informative, yet fun presentations throughout the week.

The following events will be taking place on each day in various locations on campus.

Thursday, Oct. 23

Where It's At Around Town
Stop by and see the companies around town that offer alternative fun activities that you can enjoy without drinking. This event is being sponsored by the Dean of Students Office and the Career Services Center and will be held in the Student Union from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Busted: Behind Closed Doors
Walk through several scenarios you might encounter involving alcohol and learn what to do or what could happen. This event is being sponsored by UAA Residence Life and will be held in the Gorsuch commons, Room 107, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 24

Which Ball Do I Hit? Pool Tournament
Wear the infamous drunk goggles as you compete in a pool tournament. This evening is being sponsored by UAA Residence Life and will be held in the Gorsuch Commons at 6 p.m. For more information, call (907) 751-7423.
