Fall 2008: UAA network maintenance this weekend

This Sunday morning at midnight, users will experience an interruption of the Gateway mail services. This interruption will prevent users from using their webmail accounts. Mail delivery will be stored until the service is restored.

During the same maintenance window, University of Alaska statewide will be performing maintenance to the network as well. Users may experience a very brief outage of their internet connectivity from 7-8 a.m.

In addition, at 10 a.m., users may experience an interruption of service of the Content Management System which will cause a brief outage of the institutional Web sites (ie. www.uaa.alaska.edu, technology.uaa.alaska.edu, etc). These outages should be very short and service will be restored no later than noon.

These outages are controlled by engineers performing normal maintenance and a call to the Call Center is not necessary during this time.
