Jazz Week benefit concert - Jan. 28, 2009

The UAA Department of Music will sponsor the fourth concert in its annual Jazz Week Benefit Concert Series this Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the UAA Arts Building Recital Hall.

Expect an evening of jazz standards and originals. "Icy Grooves" will feature Rick Zelinsky and Mike VanArsdale on saxes, Pat Owens on trumpet, Dan McElrath on piano, Bob Andrews on bass and Cameron Cartland on drums.

Advance tickets are $2 for UAA students, $5 for seniors, students and military, and $10 for general admission. For day-of-the-event ticket purchases, add $5 to each category. There is no reserved seating. Tickets are sold through the UAA Box Office, (907) 786-4TIX. Proceeds will benefit Jazz Week 2009, scheduled for Mar. 17-18.
