Model U.N. 2009: Climate and Sustainability

The 27th Annual Model United Nations of Alaska, hosted by the UAA Political Science Department, takes place this week. Opening Ceremonies will be Thursday, Feb. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Wendy Williamson Auditorium. Committee meetings will be held on Friday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 28, 9 a.m.-noon, in Rasmuson Hall and the Campus Den.

The General Assembly and Closing Ceremonies will also be held on the UAA campus in the Wendy Williamson Auditorium, Saturday, Feb. 28 from Noon to 6:30 p.m.

This conference unites high school and college teams from across the state for three days of discussion and debate on the topic of "Climate Change & Sustainability." The Model U.N. conference simulates the procedures of the United Nations.
