Spring 2009: Student Jazz Winter Concerts

Saturdays, Feb. 21 and 28, 7 p.m.
Organic Oasis (2610 Spenard Rd.)
Enjoy a fun-filled evening of exciting Jazz, funk, and Latin music served up by the Alaska Jazz Workshop (AJW) Student Jazz Ensembles, while sampling the delectable cuisine and designer micro-brews of the Organic Oasis Restaurant. The AJW ensembles feature South Central Alaska's hottest young jazz artists. The concert on Saturday, Feb 21 at 7 p.m. at Organic Oasis will feature beginning and intermediate classes. The concert on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m., also at Organic Oasis, will feature Monday and Tuesday advanced classes.
This event is sponsored by the Alaska Jazz Workshop, a non-profit arts and service organization providing jazz education programs and performance opportunities in Alaska. Admission is $5 at the door the evening of the concert for adults and students; children under 12 are free.
