The Office of the Provost/Academic Affairs, Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence, UAA Faculty Senate Diversity Committee, UAA Diversity Action Council, UAA/APU Book of the Year Program and UAA Office of Campus Diversity and Compliance cordially invite all UAA Faculty to attend:
The National Coalition Building Institute's Welcoming Diversity/Prejudice Reduction Workshop on Friday, April 24 from 8:55 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Gorsuch Commons, Room 107.
This exciting one-day workshop presented by UAA Faculty is designed to help us make our campus and classes even more welcoming to all of our students. The workshop offers an opportunity to discuss and experience issues related to diversity and increase your skills in dealing effectively with related issues and dialogues. Attendees will participate in an experiential process and identify information/misinformation learned about other groups, identify and express pride in the groups to which a person belongs and much, much more.
