Wednesday, April 15, 8-9:30 a.m.
UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307

Sustainability Director Paula Williams has arranged for a teleconference on energy issues for Wednesday, April 15 from 8-9:30 a.m. in Library 307. The teleconference will explore these core trends:

  • incorporation of social costs in energy economics (ie., environmental markets)
  • regionalism, federalism and energy independence
  • globalization, both waxing and waning
  • capital markets restructuring and what the implications are for renewables' development

A panel of experts will review these issues currently and consider not only their impact on near-term public policy but also the future of these policies as they shape the modern energy economy.

If you have questions about this program, please contact Paula Williams at anpw@uaa.alaska.edu or call her at (907) 786-7749.
