Contributors to the book, Enclosing the Fisheries: People, Places, and Power, discuss their research. Panelists include Marie Lowe (UAA Institute of Social and Economic Research/Anthropology Dept.), Courtney Carothers (UAF School of Fisheries, Anthropology Dept.), Steve Langdon (UAA Anthropology Dept.) and Katherine Reedy-Maschner (Idaho State University Anthropology Dept.)

This event is a rare opportunity to learn about the challenges facing those affected by the management of fisheries in Alaska and the types of change needed to improve the lives of people tied to the fishing industry.

This panel is free and open to the public.
