June 20, 2009: First-aid volunteers urgently needed for Mayor's Marathon

The Mayor's Marathon medical staff is looking for anyone interested in voluntering to work in a first-aid capacity on the marathon and half-marathon courses. The requirements to participate include:

  • Medical Experience: first-aid certification and above
  • Work at one of the aid stations along race course (with a partner) or be a "Medical Biker" along a section of the course
  • Volunteer time approximately 2-6 hours
  • First-aid kits provided, plus a free T-Shirt
