British guitarist Bert Jansch cancels July appearance

British guitarist and songwriter Bert Jansch has cancelled his entire North America tour, including his July 6 appearance at the University of Alaska Anchorage, due to unexpected illness that may require surgery. People who have purchased advance tickets via credit card have had their accounts credited.

Cash refunds are available at the Student Life and Leadership office at the UAA Student Union between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. UAA Student Activities and Bert Jansch's management apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Jansch is expected to make a full recovery and hopes to visit North America, including Alaska, in 2010.
