Public comment invited on reaccreditation of UAA

The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), including campuses in Anchorage, Kenai, Kodiak, and Matanuska-Susitna, has been continuously accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) since 1974. Institutional accreditation is reviewed and reaffirmed on a regular cycle. UAA's accreditation was last reaffirmed in 2006.

An NWCCU evaluation team will be at UAA for a site visit September 30 -- October 2, 2009.

Members of the Alaska community, as well as members of the UAA community, are invited to mail comments about UAA's qualification for renewal of accreditation to the NWCCU at the following address by August 30, 2009:

All signed comments will be forwarded to the institution, evaluation committee and the Commission for consideration in the accreditation reaffirmation process.
