Rotary offers $25,000 study-abroad scholarship

Rotary International's Ambassadorial Scholarship Program is seeking undergraduate and graduate students as well as qualified professionals who are interested in studying at an academic institution abroad for the 2010-2011 school year. Applications must be received by Saturday, August 15, 2009, and endorsed by a Rotary club in District 5010. Successful applicants will be notified by mid-September.

The Ambassadorial Scholarship is the world's largest privately funded international scholarship program. Its purpose is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical areas.

Jenny Murray, former Ambassadorial Scholar from Anchorage, studied at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. She says, "Rotary is a world leader in promoting international scholarship and goodwill. Being a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar was one of the best experiences of my life."
