CBPP announces new interim associate dean

College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) Interim Dean Bear Baker announced Tuesday that Claudia Clark, Ph.D., has accepted the position of interim associate dean for CBPP.

"Claudia has more than two decades of experience in higher education academic and administrative leadership roles, as well as significant mass media management experience. Most recently, Claudia led the public television network serving the majority of Alaska as KUAC and AlaskaOne Director of Television Programming and Production. She held a joint appointment as associate professor in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF).

"Claudia brings outstanding academic leadership skills to CBPP and UAA. She has served in various positions at UAF, including Dean of Enrollment Management, as a faculty member and program coordinator for internships in the School of Management and program director for the M.A. program in Journalism, among others.

"In her position as CBPP interim associate dean, Claudia will oversee student advising and retention activities, accreditation, alumni relations, marketing and many other functions integral to the College's success. Claudia's background in enrollment management and teaching make her a valuable addition to the CBPP team. We are fortunate to have found an interim associate dean with such a wide variety and depth of experience.
