Fall 2009: Deadline to submit events to the September Student Calendar

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Deadline for listing September events: Monday, Aug. 10, 5 p.m.

Ready to get the word out about your events?

For many years UAA Student Activities has printed a paper calendar with event listings from all over campus. This year Student Activities will change from its traditional calendar format to an online/printable calendar to be supplemented by monthly paper posters under the heading: This Month at UAA.

By switching to an online calendar with monthly posters, Student Activities hopes to cut down on paper use while providing complete and accurate event information in digital formats that students can more readily access.

Submitting is quick, easy and free! If you have an event open to the entire student body, please send the name, date, time and location of the event plus a brief description to graphics@uaa.alaska.edu.

Feel free to send any digital images along with your basic information.

Below are a few examples of what we will list (space permitting).

  • A career fair (with multiple businesses, open to students)
  • Club events (such as spaghetti feeds, lectures and more, open to students)
  • Any educational, cultural or entertainment events that are open to ALL
    students.

We will not list:

  • A sole business conducting a hiring day
  • Regular club meetings
  • Club or department gatherings or events that are only open to a select few

If you want your events listed for the fall 2009 semester submit now. The deadline for September events is Monday, Aug. 10, by 5 p.m.

We will be accepting event listings throughout the semester. The 10th of each month is the deadline to insure a listing (space permitting) for the next month. If you have questions or would like to submit information for listing: graphics@uaa.alaska.edu.
