Fall 2009: CAFE offers two faculty workshops this week

by Kathleen McCoy  |

There will be two workshops Friday morning for faculty:

How to complete the IDEA Faculty Information Form (FIF)
Friday, Oct. 2, 9-10 a.m.
UAA Consortium Library, Room 306

Presenter for this workshop will be John Petraitis of the Psychology Department.

The IDEA forms can be a bit confusing. How many objectives should I select? What levels should I select? What do they mean? What is the connection between how I fill out the FIF and the end-of-semester report I get from IDEA? Learn the theory behind the questions and format and determine how to best use the IDEA instrument to help you measure the effects your teaching choices have on the course objectives.

Registration for this class is online at CAFE's Navigating the System Web site.

Curriculum Handbook Revisions
Friday, Oct. 2, 10-11:30 a.m.
UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 214

Need help initiating/modifying courses and programs? We can help! What you need to know:

There is a new Curriculum Action Request (CAR) Form that must be used for courses. A Program Action Request (PAR) Form should be used for programs and prefixes. The Curriculum Handbook was modified in Spring 2009. Bring your paperwork and join UAB/GAB members and staff from Publications for a short presentation and a hands-on work session.

Registration for this class is online at CAFE's Navigating the System Web site.
