September is Safety Awareness Month: Tip #4

During the 2008 calendar year, 122 larceny thefts were reported on the Anchorage campus. Do not leave items of value in your vehicle in plain sight. IPods, computers and cell phones should be carried with you or locked in your trunk. Similarly, do not leave items of value unattended on a desk or in a common area. If you live in UAA's Residential Community, lock your room when you leave. If you find someone else's property unattended, call University Police at (907) 786-1120 to report the property you have found.
