Three gymnasts earn Academic All-America

UAA gymnastsAlaska Anchorage gymnasts Kristy Boswell, Kaelei Spoor and Leah Wilson were among the 2009 Academic All-Americans named by the National Association of Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches last Wednesday.

Spoor, a freshman from Rome, NY, had the Seawolves' best GPA with a 3.62 as an undeclared major. Boswell, a sophomore from Cherry Hill, NJ, holds a 3.59 overall GPA in marketing, while Wilson, a sophomore from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, has a 3.53 in management.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have been a significant team member in 2009 and hold a minimum 3.50 overall GPA.
