Fall 2009: Australian of the Year, Mick Dodson, presents 'Human Rights Treaties in Australia'

Mick Dodson is a member of the Yawuru peoples the traditional Aboriginal owners of land and waters in Western Australia. He is a professor of law at the ANU College of Law, and Director of the National Centre for Indigenous Studies. Mick Dodson helped write the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in the United Nation which was adopted by the UN. In 2009, he was chosen as Australian of the Year.

Mick Dodson is a vigorous advocate of the rights and interests of the Indigenous peoples of the world. Join us in welcoming this extraordinary humanitarian to UAA. This event is cosponsored by the UAA Political Science Dept.
