UMED Fest 2009 is set for Saturday

Representative Sharon Cissna is coordinating the fourth annual UMed Fest Health Fair on Saturday, Sept. 12 from noon- 4 p.m. at Goose Lake Park.
The UMed Fest promotes healthy lifestyles among Anchorage community members and the idea of the "UMed District" -- Anchorage's health and education center.
Some of UAA's exceptional programs will participate, including Office of Admissions, Student Health and Counseling Center, WWAMI Biomedical Program, School of Nursing and Commuters Students Services. They will be in attendance promoting healthy living by fun activities to help the well-being of the body and mind.
The UMed Fest begins with the Food Fest picnic from noon- 2 p.m. and the Activity Festival from noon- 3 p.m.
