Add 'ICE' to your cell phone address book
by Kathleen McCoy |
If you were in an accident -- whether in your car, on the bus, or walking around at the mall -- would emergency responders know how to reach someone important to you? If you were taken to a hospital unconscious, would nurses know who to call for you?
Consider taking part in a national movement to enter your next-of-kin information in the address book of your cell phone. The entry responders will be looking for is ICE, for 'In Case of Emergency.' There you should list a person to contact, with both daytime and evening numbers, along with their home and work address.
