How to stay updated on UAA's technology outage

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Since Sunday afternoon, UAA has been experiencing e-mail, Web site, Blackboard, E-live, calendaring and voicemail service interruption due to multiple hardware failures. Student e-mail has not been impacted by this outage, though most faculty and staff e-mail services are not currently operational. As of 11 a.m. today, Nov. 10, Blackboard is down. IT is working around the clock to restore operations as quickly as possible, and the campus will see the return of limited services over the next 24 to 48 hours. Please check the UAA Web site at www.uaa.alaska.edu for continual updates. UAA is open and operating a normal schedule today, Nov. 10, 2009. Distance-delivered and Blackboard-only-delivered classes (online classes) will not meet today. If you have a question as to your class meeting status, please contact the academic department or faculty member by telephone.

Class registration continues to be open and operational at http://uaonline.alaska.edu/.
