Survey asks users about paper recycling and double-sided printing habits

by Kathleen McCoy  |

The Office of Sustainability (in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety) needs your help to solve the mystery of the vastly increasing reports of paper cuts on campus. Between last year and this year, worker's compensation claims, work hours lost, and medical claims from paper cuts have tripled. We need to understand what is causing this epidemic. We believe that the use of paper may have a direct correlation with the number of paper cuts employees receive.

Please click on this link and fill out the attached survey. It will help us understand and stem the (red) tide of paper  cut injuries and protect the health and safety of your fingers. You will receive your choice of 25 percent off a prepared beverage at campus coffee shops, or a 2-hour parking pass (which expires on Friday, Dec. 3, when parking is no longer enforced for this semester). The survey is only 10 questions and should take about five minutes to complete.

Thank you.
