Veteran's Day message from Chancellor Ulmer

Dear UAA Community,

On this Veteran's Day we honor our veterans. Thank you to all of you who have served our country and continue to serve in our military forces. We are in your debt.

We remember particularly the 12 soldiers and one civilian who died last week in the terrible tragedy at Fort Hood. Every day brave men and women put their lives in jeopardy so that we may live in peace and freedom. Today we reflect upon their sacrifice and that of their families and pay tribute to them.

I hope that you will take time today to thank friends, co-workers and community members who are veterans and also those who are actively serving in the military. We owe them our deepest appreciation and respect.
