Mark your calendars now for these Complex Systems lectures, all to be held in CPISB, Room 120:

Feb. 5, 12 noon, Using Scenarios to Explore Arctic Navigation: Dr. Lawson Brigham, Senior Fellow at the Institute of the North in Anchorage, Institute Associate at the Scott Polar Research Institute (University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom), former chair and co-lead for the Arctic Council's Arctic Marine Shipping Assessment, and recently appointed UAF faculty member.

Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m., Peak Oil, EROI, and Our Financial Future: Dr. Charles Hall, Professor, Environmental and Forest Biology at the State University of New York

Feb. 12, 12 noon, Biocomplexity in the High Arctic: Dr. Jeff Welker, Director of UAA's Environmental and Natural Resources Institute (ENRI)

Rescheduled to early March TBA, 12 noon, Understanding the Spread of Arsenic in Anchorage's Groundwater: Dr. LeeAnn Munk, Chair of UAA's Department of Geography

Mar. 19, 12 noon, The American System as a Cultural System: Dr. Songho Ha, Assistant Professor, UAA's Department of History
