Spring 2010: Interested in conducting research on global change? Don't miss this research grant discussion

The Global Change Student Research Grant competition is open to students studying biological, physical, social and engineering components of global change.

Dr. Susan Sugai, associate director for the UAF Center for Global Change and Arctic System Research, will be here to discuss the Global Change Student Research Grant Competition. Students and mentors are encouraged to visit with Dr. Sugai to discuss the program and their project ideas. Dr. Sugai and two previous awardees will give brief presentations on Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. followed by an "open house" where students and mentors can discuss projects with Dr. Sugai.

Preliminary undergraduate proposals are due Feb. 15. Final proposals are due March 5. Graduate proposals are due March 5. Undergraduate and graduate proposals will be evaluated separately.
