Spring 2010: Are you ready for finals? Let the quiet of the library help you out -- 24/7!

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Timeframe: April 21-30

Your UAA/APU Consortium Library will be open 24 hours a day beginning Wednesday, April 21 through Friday, April 30, allowing students a more flexible study schedule for finals week. Students must show current UAA ID between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. The normal spring hours of operation for the Consortium Library are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m.-11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday noon-11 p.m. The library will close at 2 a.m. on Saturday, May 1 and resume normal hours of operation, reopening at 10 a.m.

The extended library hours are the result of USUAA Senator Amie Stanley's senator project.

"Since the library closes at 11 p.m. or earlier during normal spring hours, I am very excited to know that I am making a difference for students by working to provide them with a secure, quiet place to study at their convenience during finals," said Stanley.

This event is hosted by USUAA Student Government and made possible by the Office of Academic Affairs, UAA/APU Consortium Library and UPD. For more information, email Amie Stanley at astanle6@uaa.alaska.edu.
