Development Day is May 13 and registration is open

by Kathleen McCoy  |

As of April 16, we have 26 days until Development Day. Thank you to everyone who has suggested a workshop so far. Workshops being offered this year are:

  • Planetarium Show
  • Expanded Tours of the Aviation Complex
  • Tai Chi at 7:30 in the morning
  • Presentation from the Anchorage Botanical Garden
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • New features of Word and Excel
  • Customer Service
  • Presentation by Mike Humphrey on Benefits
  • Winning the UAA/UAF Sustainability Challenge
  • Presentation from the Alaska Craftsman Home Program
We are still looking for someone to volunteer to present on the topic of bicycle maintenance or commuting. If you have any more ideas for workshops, please let us know as soon as possible.

The plan is to have registration start on Wednesday, April 21 at 10 a.m. A new feature of the registration process will allow you to view and print your workshop schedule as well as go in to your schedule and change classes. We will announce the opening of registration on the Development Day website.

While you are on the site, please take a look at the volunteer area. We need your help making Development Day happen. Please let us know that you are interested in volunteering and we will find a spot where you can best assist. As incentive, if you sign up to volunteer you will be able to register a couple of hours before it opens up to everyone.
