Spring 2010: Did you know that today is 'Duplex Day' in the UAA/UAF Sustainability Cup Challenge?

by Kathleen McCoy  |

"Sibling" rivals UAA and UAF are competing in the first-ever UAA/UAF Sustainability Cup Challenge, an environmentally friendly version of the annual intrastate hockey rivalry. Many activities are happening at UAA this spring to reduce our impact on the earth and raise our sustainability grade.

Be on the lookout for Spirit the Seawolf on "Duplex Day," Wednesday, April 14. Our furry friend will visit campus office copy and printing rooms to make sure departments are using "duplex mode" when copying and printing. Not only does printing e-mails and documents on both sides of the paper save trees, it also saves money and space, and reduces UAA's carbon footprint.

If you don't know how to set your copier for duplex printing, give the IT Services Call Center a ring at (907) 786-4646.
