by Kathleen McCoy  |

Monday-Thursday, April 19-22, 10-10:30 a.m. and 1-1:30 p.m.
Rural Cap Head Start (East)

Every year, KDP participates in a national society event called "Literacy Alive." This year KDP will be sponsoring UAA College of Education students, faculty and staff and community "Readers in Uniform" to help promote literacy in our community.

KDP members, COE students, faculty and staff, as well as community members that "wear a uniform" are needed to read to 4- and 5-year-olds at Rural Cap Head Start (East) during the week of April 19-April 22. Volunteers will spend approximately 15-20 minutes reading. Books will be provided.

"Literacy Alive" is a wonderful service activity that allows volunteers to give their time to the community, as well as, promote literacy.

If you, a family member or friend are available, please respond and let me know your available times/date.
